Skoda Enyaq, the electric SUV arrives in Italy: start reservations

To be able to get your hands on the wheel you will have to wait a few more months – about six – but in the meantime it is already possible to book it, so as to be among the first in Italy (and in the Old Continent) to drive it. Skoda has in fact opened reservations for the Enyaq iV, the first full electric vehicle of the Czech car manufacturer (but owned by Volkswagen).

The Skoda Enyaq iV, unveiled in preview last September, is an SUV just under 5 meters long, with rather large interior spaces and a decidedly recognizable line. The front is in fact characterized by a large grille that separates and, at the same time, “joins” the two front optical groups. Skoda’s electric SUV offers the Crystal Face, a strip of 130 LEDs that crosses the grille and makes the front of the Anyaq iV immediately recognizable. Despite the “massive” appearance, Skoda’s first full electric is decidedly light. At least in terms of aerodynamics: the drag coefficient (cx) of 0.27 in fact, it ensures a minimum impact on consumption and autonomy.

At launch the Skoda Enyaq iV is available in three different versions, characterized by different levels of autonomy, power and acceleration. This is the 50 iV, with an engine capable of delivering 148 horsepower and 220 Nm torque, powered by a 55 kWh battery and 340 kilometers of range; there 60 iV with 180 horsepower engine and 310 Nm torque powered by a 62 kWh battery pack and a range of 390 kilometers; L’80 iV, equipped with a 204 horsepower engine and 310 Nm torque, powered by an 82 kWh battery pack and 510 kilometers of range.

In the coming months, however, will also arrive two versions with all-wheel drive, with an additional motor installed directly on the front axle. There 80 4×4 iV it delivers a power of 265 horsepower and a torque of 425 Nm; there vRS 4×4 iV raises the performance bar even further with a 306 horsepower engine and 460 Nm torque. Both are powered by an 82 kWh battery pack and ensure a range of 460 kilometers.

The charging time varies according to the column chosen. The Skoda Enyaq iV may indeed be recharged up to 80% in about 30 minutes connecting it with a 125 kW direct current column, while using an 11 kW home wallbox it takes up to 8 hours to complete recharging the battery pack. It must be said that 125 kW charging is only available for the 80 iV and the two all-wheel drive versions, while the iV 50 and iV 60 have their maximum charging power lowered to 50 and 100 kW.

Inside the passenger compartment they find space due display LCD: the first 13-inch allows you to control the infotainment system and various car features. The second 5.3-inch is located behind the steering wheel and provides information about the car. Thanks to presence of an eSIM, the Skoda Enyaq is always online: by synchronizing it with the smartphone it will be possible to check its charging status, receive real-time information on traffic and much more.

The list price of the Skoda Enyaq varies from 35 thousand euros for the 50 iV versine to the 46 thousand euros needed to purchase the 80 iV. Also available at launch is a limited edition (1895 copies, like the year the Czech car manufacturer was founded), which can be purchased for more than 50,000 euros.
