Bolt Football Holdings, the American investment group with stakes in, among others, Crystal Palace and several NBA teams acquired about 97 percent of the shares in Waasland-Beveren last month. To take the club to new heights, the new investors are counting on the barely 31-year-old Gobin.
The French American, working in the management of the MLS in 2017 and 2018, has to make Waasland-Beveren a more professional club. “When the investor group presented this project to me, I immediately knew that I had to come on board,” Gobin responds.
“I believe we have a great future ahead of us at Waasland-Beveren. I am delighted to be working with the management team here in Beveren to bring stability and improvements to the club.” D.
he choice for Gobin was a logical one, says Isaac Harrouche, director of Bolt Football Holdings. “He will bring even more expertise and leadership to the club, working with the existing team. We believe his experience will enhance our goals and, most importantly, enable the club to maintain its local identity and core values.”
