The Minister of Health reports on the threats received on the Internet to shoot him / Article / LSM.lv

On Friday evening, the Minister of Health Ilze Ņķele (“Development / About!”) Said on the microblogging site “Twitter” that she had received a threat to shoot her on the Internet.

According to Vķķele, the threat was virtually expressed by a young man, whose Facebook account states that he lives in Jaunsardze and lives in Smiltene. “A message has been sent to me that I am going to be shot,” the minister said on Twitter, not explaining exactly what threatened her.

On October 14, the young man mentioned by Šķķele publicly shared the call “Remove the muzzle! You are a man, not a dog!” On Facebook. It is clear from the context that a muzzle could mean a face mask, which by government decision is now mandatory in a number of public places to limit the spread of Covid-19.

Shekeele also mentioned the State Police and the Youth Guard on Twitter. The police replied to the Minister that the information had been passed on to colleagues.

Kaspars Galkins, a representative of the Ministry of Defense (MoD), said that an inspection had already been carried out on Friday evening, in which it was established that the person mentioned by the Minister did not work as an instructor in Jaunsardis and was not a young guard.

AM recalls that, according to Defense Minister Artis Pabriks (“For Development / For!”) This week, one of the biggest challenges this autumn, as the Covid-19 crisis continues, will be the fight against misinformation and false news.
