Amstelveen – KLM staff have to give up for five years, otherwise the intended loan package of 3.4 billion euros from banks and the State will end. This means that KLM’s fate rests in the hands of the unions, which have to go through the pump before 12 noon on Saturday. They are put on the spot by the KLM management. They have the time to sign a special ‘clause’, agreeing to five years of wage restraint.
