Referendum on the Constitution: Algerian voters in Eure-et-Loir invited to vote in Dreux this weekend

About 5,000 Algerians live in Eure-et-Loir and around 2,000 are registered voters with the Nanterre consulate.

They are invited, Saturday 31 and Sunday 1 November, to vote yes or no in the referendum proposed by the new Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune. A referendum which proposes a revision of the Algerian constitution.

This Friday, October 30 at the end of the afternoon, Hakim Djellab and Ahmed Khatir came to Dreux from the Nanterre consulate to install the polling station at the Lièvre d’Or cultural center. Minoun Ennebati, Nadir Bouzoudi and Kider Benabi will be assessors. They explain :

“It is a response to the demonstrations that have agitated the Algerian street. It is about bringing more democracy, transparency and citizen participation”

As for the holding of the election, they specify: “We had a derogation to organize this poll in the respect of barrier gestures. Voters also have an authorization to move.”

To vote. The polling station is located at the cultural center of Lièvre d’Or, rue du Lièvre d’Or in Dreux. It will be open Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm.
