(New York) Wall Street started in the red on Friday for its penultimate sitting before the US presidential election on Tuesday, worried about the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic and an election result that could be overdue: the Dow Jones fell 0.40%, the NASDAQ dropped 0.71%.

The day before, the indices had rebounded, anticipating good results from the technology sector, after the dark day on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, finished at 26,659.11 points (+ 0.52%). The technology-heavy NASDAQ had concluded at 11,185.59 points (+ 1.64%) and the extended S&P 500 index had advanced 1.19% to 3310.11 points.
