At 05.55 on Friday morning, the Oslo police received a report of a burglary at a gallery in Trondheimsveien.

– Report that two people hit a gallery with an ax and a sledgehammer, the police wrote.

The two people must then have fled the scene on either scooters or light motorcycles, and they must have taken one picture with them.

She says that the police do not yet know the value of the picture, as they have not yet talked to the owner.

Investigated further

– We see this as being a burglary and a gross theft, the operations manager continues.

The police are now questioning witnesses on the spot. They also write that forensic technicians are on their way to the gallery to take over the investigation.

Perpetrators

This is how the police describe the perpetrators:

– One dressed in a yellow jacket, the other in a dark jacket, possibly a red and black helmet with a white stripe, the police write.

The perpetrators left the scene on their respective scooters.
