Research supporting the power of these plants against cancer
The Research was conducted by the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok, Russia. To collaborate, some scholars from the United Kingdom and others from Mauritius. Together, these researchers thoroughly analyzed five plant species native to the islands. In order: Acalypha integrifolia, Dombeya acutangula, Eugenia tinifolia, Gaertnera psychotrioides and Labourdonnaisia glauca. This gift of nature from the Indian Ocean could really help in the fight against esophageal cancer. The study published in Acta Naturae provided very good hopes.
The examination of the plants and the waiting for future studies
According to the researchers, these plants could be the solution to a disease that scares everyone. This is because they contain certain chemical compounds that block the proliferation of cancer cells. For now, the studies are still ongoing. In fact, the researchers only looked at 15% of the plants in Mauritius. The position of the latter allows them to have a unique fauna in the world. For this reason it is vital to preserve it. This study really gives hope to so many people. And, if the research continues along this line, who knows that one day it will not be possible to exploit all the properties of nature to cure terrible diseases, just like esophageal cancer.
