The Minister of Public Health of Lebanon, Celebrate Abiadreported this Thursday that 97 paramedics and firefighters have died in attacks of Israel against him Lebanonactions that he described as “war crimes” that in turn have killed almost 2,000 people, including 127 children.
«What is happening is very dangerous and is a violation of international laws and conventions. “They are war crimes without a doubt.”said the person responsible in a press conference from Beirut, whose center was attacked at dawn by Israel in a bombing that left at least nine dead.
The minister made these statements after the Lebanese Red Cross denounced that one of its convoys trying to evacuate victims and wounded in southern Lebanon – where the bombings are concentrated – was attacked by Israel in an action that left three volunteers injured and an Army soldier dead.
«This is a war crime. The excuse they use is that these vehicles and hospitals have weapons, and they are invalid pretexts.Abiad said, adding that Israel even attacks “people who try to help the wounded.”
Likewise, he indicated that 188 health sector and Civil Defense workers have been injured, while a total of 45 health centers and another 128 vehicles “have been targets of Israeli attacks.”
“We know how brutal this enemy is, but the international community must assume its responsibility”insisted the Lebanese Government minister, who has been denouncing for almost a year the inaction of world leaders regarding Israel’s military campaign in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. EFE (I)
