953 deaths from COVID are added; 6 states, at risk of turning red

The Ministry of Health reported this Sunday 953 more deaths from COVID-19 in Mexico, bringing the total to 118,202 deaths from the pandemic.

The number of deaths has increased 2% in weeks 48 and 49, according to Health.

In addition, 18 thousand 999 new cases are added to total 1 million 320 thousand 545 positive cases.

So far 978 thousand people have recovered.

The maximum number of deaths from the pandemic occurred in week 28 with 5,402 for week 50, which is the current one, there are 3,876 deaths registered, this is 28% less.

Health pointed out that the national hospital occupancy is at 44%.

Sonora, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Querétaro and Hidalgo, have a high risk of turning red. So far there are 24 states in orange, 3 in red (Baja California, CDMX and Edomex) and only two in green (Chiapas and Campeche).
