I’m 951 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday it was +835, here the bulletin). According to the ECDC, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the Delta variant will account for 90% of all SARS-CoV-2 viruses circulating in the European Union by the end of August.

For the third day in a row there Sicily to have the highest number of new positives and also the highest number of victims for the second consecutive day: here, there are +158 cases with a 1.3% rate and 6 deaths. Above 100 cases, only two regions follow: Lombardy (+131 cases with 0.4% rate) e Campania (+110 cases with 0.7% rate). It should be noted Molise and Valle d’Aosta which communicate respectively two and a new infected.

The victims
There are 30 victims, compared to 31 the day before. Five regions with zero bereavement, to which we must add the provinces of Trento and Bolzano: these are Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Basilicata, Molise and Valle d’Aosta. The health system
The decline in hospitalizations continues, both in critical and non-critical areas. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -149 (yesterday -101), for a total of 2,140 hospitalized.
