The Institut Lumière in Lyon welcomed perhaps the greatest living documentary filmmaker, Frederick Wiseman.
The 93-year-old now has almost 50 films under his belt, all of which he wrote, filmed and edited independently. Now he presented his new documentary “Menus-Plaisirs. Les Troisgros”.
The four-hour film takes us into everyday life at the world-famous 3-star Michelin restaurant “Troisgros”. The “Troigros” is located not far from Lyon and is run by a family dynasty of top chefs.
The film is a visual experience of finesse, taste and variety. From the careful selection of food to the preparation of the dishes, Wiseman gives the viewer a unique insight into the world of master class French gastronomy.
“Menus-Plaisirs. Les Troisgros” received a standing ovation in Venice and will be released in Europe this winter.
