The price of unrefined sunflower oil continues to collapse on the exchange in Rotterdam
On Sofia Stock Exchange trade in the subdistrict “Zarno” bakery wheat became cheaper and was offered in a particularly large quantity of 92,940 tons at BGN 350.00/ton EXW delivery. So far the quote “sell” it was invariably BGN 388/ton.
For fodder wheat, demand continues at BGN 340.00/ton.
Corn for immediate delivery is available in the range of BGN 360.00 – 380.00/ton, and oilseed sunflower from BGN 820.00 to 840.00/ton.
The offer of fodder barley at a price of BGN 320.00/ton is new.
Last stock market week did not present any surprises in the development of the prices of the main grain contracts on the world stock markets. FOB Chicago bread wheat moved down $2.00 to $215.00/t for September delivery, France was unchanged at its old price of €206.00/t. Only Ukraine increased last week’s quotations by plus $2.00 to their levels from a month ago – $227.00/t, and in Russia, the change was also zero – $218.00/t, reports in his weekly overview of the Sofia Stock Exchange.
US and French corn price action this time in sync with both down by minus $1.00 and minus €2.00 to $182.00/t and €197.00 respectively /ton, and in Ukraine – a decline after the previous move up, this week by minus $4.00 to $208.00 /ton.
Barley in Ukraine recovered earlier losses, adding $10.00 to $190.00/t for September delivery, and Euronext rapeseed for November delivery, after its sharp rise and subsequent collapse, this week decreases by another 13.75 euros to 449.75 euros/ton.
Crude sunflower oil contracts on the Rotterdam Stock Exchange have seen a number of swings since the start of the year. After falling hard a week ago for August delivery, this week for September delivery they are down another $25.00 to $1,025.00/t. Refined sugar also continues the long-lasting sinusoidal curve. After the previous move up, and subsequent loss of positions, these days it moved minus $1.20 for October delivery, reaching $512.10/t on the London exchange.
