The worst serial killer in the history of the United States, known to have killed more than 90 people, died at the age of 80 while serving, the Associated Press reported on the 31st (local time).

California correctional authorities in the United States said Samuel Little was found dead in a California hospital the day before. There were no signs of death, and Little had suffered from diabetes and heart disease during his lifetime, the correctional authorities said.

Little is now serving three life sentences and serving in California prison. Little, who went to jail on charges of invading housing, kidnapping, and murder, was caught by the police in 2012 on charges such as possession of drugs and subjected to DNA testing.

Little has since denied the crime, but confessed to strangling 93 people from 1970 to 2005 after 700 hours of interrogation in 2018. They painted the faces of the victims and remembered their names.

As a result of the investigation, more than 60 cases were actually confirmed as Little’s crimes. Most of the crimes took place in Florida and Southern California, and were targeted by vulnerable social groups such as women who were engaged in sex trafficking or drug addiction.
