NEW YORK – Authorities found an elderly couple dead Saturday inside a Manhattan apartment.
According to the New York City Police report, officers responded to a call, at 2:41 pm on Saturday, to verify the well-being of people inside an apartment in a building located at 535 de West 23rd Street.
Upon arrival, the uniformed officers found a 92-year-old woman unconscious on a sofa and a 64-year-old man also unconscious in one of the bedrooms.
Paramedics declared both victims dead at the scene.
So far there are no arrests and the authorities are investigating the events.
The forensic doctor will determine the cause of death of the victims.
The name of the victims has not been released pending notification of the family and the relationship between the two is unknown.
