On Saturday afternoon in Lyon, a 92-year-old man was bitten by a teenager who had just ripped off his gold necklace. The attacker walked off with the jewel before being arrested.
The events took place on Saturday 19 November, in the afternoon, in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon (Rhône). A 92-year-old man was walking, and it was as he crossed Bellecombe Street that he was attacked. BFMTV.COM thus reports that the 90-year-old was seen melting on himself a teenager.
The teenager rips off his gold necklace and then bites him
In a visibly rapid sequence, the attacker began by snatching the gold necklace worn by the passerby. Then, the teenager bit the 60-year-old in an apparent attempt to grab the jewel more easily. The boy then left with the latter.
Suspect arrested, jewel found
The victim gave the alarm to the carabinieri, who were able to rely on the description provided by the nonagenarian to trace the suspect. Eventually he was located not far from the Guillotière district, before being arrested and placed in police custody.
Confessions obtained later
It turned out that the alleged perpetrator was 15 years old. He too was in an irregular situation. Before the authorities and at first the teenager denied having attacked the ninety-year-old. The defendant then decided to confess to the assault. It is not specified what the boy incurs in this case. As for the necklace, which the suspect was wearing at the time of his arrest, it was subsequently returned to its rightful owner.
