Hendrik Blaauw tells RTV Noord that he is still amazed: “I was visiting my niece in Siddeburen. At 4:30 it was time to go home. My cousin called a taxi and it would be there in half an hour. But the van didn’t come, so my niece tried again. But even then nothing came. Called again, and then the lady said on the phone that a van was on its way. But it wasn’t there after an hour. ”
After hours of waiting, the man was eventually brought to Noordbroek by the neighbors. Mr. Blaauw is upset, he tells the broadcaster: “The nerves had gotten to me. My cousin said, ‘don’t take it to heart’, but I’m 91, you know how it goes. And it is not the first time, I have also been waiting in Foxhol for three and a half hours. ”
In a response, Connexxon now says that the long waiting times are the result of understaffing: drivers had to be tested for corona. The broadcaster has been promised that the problems have now been solved.
