Matchday | On Wednesday evening, FC Schalke 04 lost the catch-up game against Hertha BSC in their own stadium 1: 2 (1: 1). Dedryck Boyata and Jessica Ngankam turned the game. Amine Harit Schalke had previously taken the lead.
Bundesliga: Schalke loses against Hertha with 1: 2

Second half: Hertha’s joker Ngankam wins
After the restart, Piatek had to be replaced at Hertha due to an injury (58th). The 20-year-old came for him Jessic Ngankam. The guests then came closer and closer to the gate. Again Boyata came after a free kick by Plattenhardt to the header, but put it against the post (63.).
Substitute Ngankam then did better. Nemanja Radonjic prevailed on the left flank and brought the ball inside, where the substitute striker took the ball and put it into the mesh to give Berliners a 2-1 lead. Radonjic then missed the preliminary decision when he failed with a lift on Ralf Fährmann (83rd).
Dodi Lukebakio saw the yellow-red card after a foul on Steven Skrzybski (88th). Then Schalke had a huge chance to equalize: Both Mustafi with his head and Benito Raman with the margin, however, both failed on the post (90 + 3). Then the game was whistled. With the victory, Hertha gained a three-point cushion on relegation rank 16 and moved up to 13th place in the table.
