Dr. Nour Al Muhairi, Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the Emirates Health Services Group, confirmed that the elderly were and continue to be at the heart of the group’s strategy aimed at providing the best healthcare services.
Statistics from the Emirates Health Services Corporation show a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries of mental health services for the elderly, as the number of beneficiaries reached 9,098 elderly clients in 2023, compared to 8,782 clients in 2022, and this growth reflects the effectiveness of the programs and initiatives he launched.
As part of its effort to achieve sustainability in health care services for the elderly and the elderly, the Foundation has launched many purposeful initiatives, the most recent of which is developing a medicine and supplies delivery service medical care for the elderly at the Foundation’s Fujairah Hospital. by reducing the time to receive a service by 80%, as well as developing a portfolio of services within the “Our Elders, Barakat Al-Dar” initiative.
