900,000 euros of subsidy for the methaniser of Auros

The methaniser project launched three years ago will be supported by a subsidy from the Region. It should see the light of day by 2022

The Region has just voted in aid of 900,000 euros to support the creation of an anaerobic digestion unit in Auros. Nine farmers from South Gironde joined forces in 2016 to launch this project.

This tool will make it possible to produce energy from slurry and manure. A way to recycle waste while making money.

The methaniser should be supplied by nearly 15,000 tonnes per year of deposit. Manure from livestock farms, crop residues and also food industry waste such as spent grape pomace.

The total investment is estimated at six million euros.

Farmers and local communities, partners in the project, are federated within society Agri Energy.

The latter received the building permit and signed a gas network connection contract with the company Teréga . Work should start in the spring for commissioning in 2022.
