The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered the balance of prevention and containment of Covid-19 in the country and thanked the arrival of the 900 thousand doses of Abdala vaccines sent from Cuba.

From a press conference led by the Venezuelan authority, it was announced that Abdala joins the South American country’s vaccination scheme, which until now included the application of the Russian and Chinese vaccines, Sputnik V and Sinopharm, respectively.

The president of Venezuela also called on citizens to comply with health care and protocols in order to avoid contagion of the disease.
He also highlighted the productivity of the 7 + 7 system, which consists of seven days of flexible activities and seven days of confinement to control the circulation of the virus in the territory.

Similarly, it was reported during the conference that a vaccination deployment against Covid-19 House by House has started in the capital city of the country, Caracas, which currently reaches 79 percent of vaccinated.
It was also announced that face-to-face classes will begin on October 25 at all educational levels, taking into account that more than 90 percent of the teachers in the capital have been vaccinated.
