La Paz, Baja California Sur, (OEM-Informex) .- The Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Marcelo Armenta, reported that to date there is 90% progress in the delivery of life insurance certificates to the fishing community of the entity, a program that aims to support families in the event of the death of the insured producer.
During his most recent visit to the North Pacific zone, in the municipality of Mulegé, the official gave 450 certificates of said program to members of fishing cooperatives such as La Purísima, Baja California, Buzos y Pescadores, Bahía Tortugas and Emancipación.
He explained that the State Government, which is headed by the Chief Executive, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, has the goal of delivering 4,230 certificates to the same number of producers from the five municipalities of Baja California Sur, which are yet to be covered. .
Marcelo Armenta, recalled that the number of beneficiaries consists of 1,543 in the municipality of Comondú; 1,541 to Mulegé; 344 to Loreto; 193 in Los Cabos and 773 in La Paz, a commitment that has been a priority for the current administration.
