Corona virus varian Delta spread in DKI Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marives) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed that the majority of COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta came from the Delta variant.
“From the data we got, 90% in Jakarta has already been varian Delta,” Luhut said at a press conference on Monday (5/7/2021) night.
Therefore, Luhut asked residents not to mess with the handling of COVID-19.
“So varian Delta already 90% in us. So if we play around, like I said earlier, it can definitely hit your surroundings,” he said.
“If we look at it, we might know that most of the people who got COVID-19 were outside of our circle. Now there are many in our circle. So this situation is serious and we have to work together,” said Luhut.
He continued, obeying the existing regulations meant saving the lives of many people. Therefore, once again, Luhut asked the public not to mess with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Lastly, I ask the public to obey the rules that have been issued and it means that because you obey them you save yourself and also save the people around you,” he said.
