The ninth season of the hit show is currently rolling «90 Day Fiance» over Norwegian TV screens. Previous seasons have offered several unforgettable moments.
Expecting a child one month after the breakup
The reality show follows Americans who have each found a foreign fiance, and who have either applied for or been granted a K1 visa. The visa is the betrothed’s chance to stay in the US, but only if the couple gets married within 90 days.
In the programme, viewers get to follow the couples through the 90 days that could potentially end in a marriage. Something that offers a wonderful mix of great age and cultural differences, heated arguments, prejudices and, not least, love.

Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi
Rebecca Parrott (51) and Zied Hakimi (28) from season eight are a well-known duo for “90 Day Fiancé” fans. They met on the Internet, and after dating online for a while, they met in Tanzania – which is Zied’s home country.
However, the road to marriage was not a bed of roses, and the fact that Rebecca was still married to her ex-boyfriend was not the optimal charge for the dream wedding.

In the series, we get to see them cope with cultural differences, and they also fight against prejudice from others. Rebecca is 23 years older than Zied, and several people in her circle suspect that she is being exploited.
Despite the adversity, the couple persevered and got married in 2020. They are still married, and look head over heels in love on their Instagram accounts.
Mike Youngquist og Natalie Podiakova
Another couple the viewers get to know well over several seasons is Mike Youngquist (35) og Natalie Podiakova (36). They last appeared in season eight.
Originally from Ukraine, Natalie struggled to adjust to life on Mike’s farm in Sequim, Washington, and apparently they argued more than they didn’t. However, after undergoing couple’s therapy, they decided to go ahead with the wedding, which was to take place just three days before their 90 days were up.
Want to divorce – have a breakdown
On the actual wedding day, Mike got cold feet and canceled the entire wedding. Natalie had to pack her things and leave the farm, but due to problems with the transport, she had to return to Mike. It is now that they decide, to everyone’s surprise, to carry out the plan and get married anyway.
However, the happiness was short-lived for the couple, as Mike’s uncle, Beau, confirmed opposite In Touch last year that the nephew and Natalie were no longer married. They separated already before a year had passed.
Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya
The relationship between Jovi Dufren (32) and Yara Zaya (26) got off to a rough start when they found out they were pregnant already after six months. They decided to keep the child, and Jovi proposed to Yara. Shortly afterwards they unfortunately experienced a miscarriage.
– I have difficulty breathing
The couple nevertheless decided to continue in the program, and Ukrainian Yara moved in with Jovi in New Orleans. In season eight, fans get to see the couple argue about everything that can be argued about, and it seemed for a long time that the dream of a wedding hung in the balance.

After a few weeks in the US, Yara discovered that she was pregnant again, and the couple also chose to keep the child this time. This was also a possible turning point for the couple, who married in Las Vegas in February 2020.
Daughter Mylah was born in September of the same year, and the small family still lives together in the United States.
Brandon Gibbs og Julia Trubkina
Brandon Gibbs (28) and Julia Trubkina (28) appeared on screen for the first time in season eight. The viewers were then introduced to a couple newly in love, but it did not take long before life together in the USA presented challenges for the young couple.
Brandon was living at home on the family farm with his parents when Russian Julia moved in. The family is of the conservative type, and the parents, among other things, refused the couple to sleep together.
After a short month, Julia gets fed up with living on the family farm, and there was a bad atmosphere in the house when she told her fiance that she refused to live there. Despite all the bickering, the couple got married in the end.
– We are so extremely happy
Brandon and Julia are still married today, and on their social media it also seems that the latter has a better relationship with her in-laws than she apparently had in the series.

Michael Jessen and Juliana Custodio
Michael Jessen (62) and over 30 years younger Juliana Custodio (26) met on a yacht in Croatia and fell head over heels for each other. In season seven of “90 Day Fiancé”, viewers get to know the couple.
Brazilian Juliana left her modeling career in Europe and traveled to the United States to marry Michael in 2019. Unfortunately, sacrificing everything for love is not always worth it, and not all marriages last a lifetime.

In October it became known that they were no longer a couple, and since then they have been living separately. In February – actually on Valentine’s Day – this year, Juliana handed in the divorce papers. It wrote People.
All traces of the marriage have been removed from Juliana’s social media. However, she diligently shares photos of her new boyfriend, Ben Obscura. Just under a month after her breakup with Michael, Juliana shared that she and Ben were expecting a childand recently the couple had a little son.

Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko
One of the couples that has received a lot of attention after they appeared in the series’ fourth season is Jorge Nava (33) and Anfisa Arkhipchenko (26).
During the season, we saw the duo – who met on Facebook – try to figure out life together after Anfisa moved from Russia in favor of life with Jorge in California.
– Have never taken fillers
On screen, fans saw the couple have several heated arguments, and Anfisa actually admitted that she was only with Jorge because of his money, which she defended by saying that she believed he was only interested in her looks. Despite this, the couple ended up married in 2016.
But since then, a lot has happened for the duo. In February 2018, Jorge was caught with over 132 kilograms of marijuana in the car. He was arrested on the spot, and received two and a half years in prison.
Despite a few long months in prison, the couple was not divorced until 2020, wrote In Touch. Nevertheless, the relationship was not unproblematic during the serving of the sentence.

Jorge said in a reunion episode of “90 Day Fiancé” that Anfisa had told him that she would no longer be with him two months into the sentence period. Furthermore, he expressed that he wishes her all the best, writes ET Online.
Elizabeth Potthast Castravet and Andrei Castravet
Elizabeth Potthast (30) met her chosen one, Andrei Castravet (36) from Moldova in Dublin. The couple was in the reality series’ fifth season, and faced great opposition from the former’s family both before and during the 90 days.
Elizabeth’s family was skeptical of Andrei, and of the fact that he could not work and support the family at once. They nevertheless got married, and had a wedding both in the United States and Moldova.
Shouts bizarre girlfriend activity
They are still married today, and have become a small family. In 2019, they became parents to their daughter Eleanor, and this spring the couple could reveal that they expecting child number two.
Evelyn Cormier og David Vazquez Zermeno
Evelyn Cormier (23) met her future fiance David Vazquez Zermeno (31) from Spain on social media. Throughout season five, viewers were able to follow the young, Christian couple on the road to marriage.

The couple faced several challenges along the way, one of which was that Evelyn did not want to leave her hometown of Claremont in favor of a bigger city, as David wanted. Despite several challenges, some bigger than others, the couple still got married in 2017.

However, after four years of marriage, and a move to Los Angeles, it became known that the couple separated in November 2021. Five months later, Evelyn submitted the divorce papers.
After the separation in November, Evelyn opened up about her marriage In Touch Weeklywhere she, among other things, described the relationship as toxic.
