Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Tensions in the Middle East continue to increase. Several parties expressed concern that a major war would arise involving several countries and groups in the Arab World.

The area has actually heated up because of the Gaza war. However, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran and Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukr in Beirut.

Screw PBB

“I am deeply concerned about the growing threat of a wider conflict in the Middle East and I appeal to all parties, together with influential countries, to act urgently to stop put on a situation that has become a real crisis,” Turk said in a statement.

This comes as Israel prepares to face a response from Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah over the killing of key Hamas and Hezbollah figures in Tehran and Beirut. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that his party is ready for any situation, defensive or offensive.

Israel attacks Lebanon again

“Hezbollah said the dead included Ali Shuqair, a member of the group, and Muhammad Hammadi, a paramedic who was a member of the Risala Islamic Scout Association,” he said.

“They are the people of Meiss el-Jabal.”

Iran commits to Israeli law

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaan said that Israel must be punished for its violent actions. Israel is believed to be the main perpetrator in the assassination of the top Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh.

Many Arab countries move

Biden calls the King of Jordan

President Joe Biden will speak with King Abdullah of Jordan in the coming hours. This is to consider the situation in the area.

“It is widely understood now that we may not be talking about weeks or even days, that an attack by Iran could be something that happens in a matter of hours,” Al-Jazeera said that the White House says.

“That’s why we’ve seen over the last few days, all these meetings, these requests for de-escalation,” he said.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also spoke to his Israeli counterpart twice in the past few days. First to reaffirm his country’s commitment to Israel, but also to demand that it be de-escalated.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to the G7 countries yesterday to urge them to do what they can to put diplomatic pressure on Iran. So, he continued, that tension would decrease.

Hezbollah attacked the Israeli military
