Men’s Hearts (part 1 in 2013, part 2 in 2015)

The film men’s hearts follows the lives of various men in Amsterdam. One of those men is Wouter, played by Jeroen Spitzenberger. Katja Herbers plays the role of Nicole, who is unexpectedly pregnant by Wouter in part 1. When she tells this to him, he doesn’t react as she hoped. She goes to a clinic for an abortion, but is this what she and Wouter want? In part 2 Nicole experiences her breakthrough as a writer, but her success causes tensions between her and Wouter. Other roles in this film include Georgina Verbaan and Barry Atsma.

Evil (2019)

Her role in Evil was the reason Herbers was invited to The Late Show. Herbers plays the role of forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard. When skeptical Kristen receives an offer from a priest to help him solve mysteries and exorcisms, she joins his team to create psychological profiles of people who appear to be possessed. Her skepticism is tested several times by things she cannot explain. The attraction between the psychologist and the priest is certainly present.

The Leftovers (2017)

Katja Herbers won a role in the third and final season of the American HBO series The Leftovers in 2017. The Leftovers takes place three years after suddenly 2% of the world’s population has mysteriously disappeared. Herbers plays the supporting role of Dr. Eden.

Manhunt: Unabomber (2017)

The story of this American crime series follows FBI agent James, who investigates a man who over the years has come to be known as the Unabomber. The Unabomber carried out a series of bombings against people he believes are causing damage to the environment. Katja Herbers plays the part of Linda, the sister-in-law of the Unabomber. When she recognizes her brother-in-law’s manner of speaking in texts in the media, she suspects that he has something to do with it.

The Americans (2015)

Herbers managed to win a supporting role in the third season of the American spy series The Americans. The story revolves around two KGB (the Soviet secret service) agents who live in Washington as spies. Herbers guest-starred in several episodes as Evi Sneijder, a European student who ends up in a Russian prison during the Cold War.

Manhattan (2014)

In the American drama series Manhattan, a leading role was reserved for the Dutch Herbers. The series is about a group of scientists who try to develop the world’s first atomic bomb in the 1940s. Herbers plays Helen Price, the only woman on the team. After two seasons, the plug was pulled from the series in 2016, because the series managed to attract too few viewers.

Divorce (2012)

But in the Netherlands, Katja Herbers will be known by many for her role in the hit series Divorce. In the popular drama series Herbers plays the hilarious and somewhat hysterical role of Joyce Waanders, Joris’s girlfriend (played by Waldemar Torenstra). Because Joyce has changed in Joris’s eyes as a result of all the IVF treatments, he does not want to continue with her. He is going to live with his two (also divorced) friends Boudewijn and David, played by Jeroen Spitzenberger and Dirk Zeelenberg.
