Gold prices decreased amid today’s trading in the local goldsmiths, and the 21-carat most traded in the local market scored 763, down 9 pounds.

Rizk added that the postponement of approval of US stimulus until now is a major reason for the decline in the price of gold, indicating that prices will continue to fluctuate during the coming period.
Also, gold prices fell on global stock exchanges, today, to their lowest levels in 8 months, due to the improvement of the dollar index against the basket of major currencies and the rise in US Treasury bond yields, which reduced investors’ appetite for the yellow metal.
Michael McCarthy, chief market strategist at CMC Markets, said that the possibility of achieving a higher return is putting pressure on gold prices, while the rise of the dollar contributes to its decline, adding that the slight decline in the 10-year yield is “too little to be taken into account,” according to the agency.
