Experts have warned that there are two Omicron symptoms that can appear even before a positive test. This is fatigue and dizziness/fainting.
Fatigue is more than just feeling tired, it can lead to body aches due to muscle aches as well as headaches, blurred vision and loss of appetite.
Dr Angelique Coetzee, who first alerted Omicron in South Africa, has previously mentioned that fatigue is one of the main symptoms of the variant.
This is supported by a poll from WebMD in which more than 40% of women reported struggling with fatigue from Covid-19, compared to a third of men.
The second early sign that you may have Omicron is dizziness/fainting. A report from Germany claims that there may be a connection between fainting spells and Omicron.
The link was suggested after doctors in Berlin discovered that Covid was triggering repeated fainting for a 35-year-old patient who was hospitalized.
German newspaper rztezeitung added that doctors could see a “clear link” between infection and fainting.
