9 Palestinians were killed and many injured by Israeli forces in the violent clashes that took place in Jenin camp hours ago, according to what was announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and the ministry described the situation in the camp as very critical.

And the Palestinian News Agency said that clashes broke out with Israeli forces in Hebron and Tulkarm, referring to the declaration of a comprehensive strike in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Security sources revealed to the “Palestinian News Agency” that the Israeli forces stormed the city and camp of Jenin, and climbed the roofs of the houses in the camp, which led to the outbreak of clashes during which the soldiers fired bullets and gas bombs at the youths.

And she confirmed that the Israeli forces cut off the electricity supply to the camp, and prevented ambulance crews and journalists from entering it.

An Israeli bulldozer destroyed vehicles and storefronts near Jenin Governmental Hospital in the northern West Bank.

Jenin Hospital is full of patients, most of them children, who suffocated as a result of the Israeli forces firing gas canisters towards the hospital.
Another video showed the recovery of one of the two victims from the camp after it was stormed by the Israeli army.

Al-Arabiya correspondent also reported that Israel announced the lifting of the state of alert on the borders of the Gaza Strip.

The IDF said the forces were operating in the Jenin refugee camp, which has been the focus of nearly a year of Israeli raids on arrests. The military did not immediately provide any other details.

Today, Thursday, a spokesman for the Palestinian presidency considered what is happening in the city of Jenin and its camp in the West Bank a “massacre” carried out by the Israeli government, after clashes that resulted in the death of Palestinians in the camp.

The Palestinian News Agency quoted presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh as saying that what he called “international inability and silence” is what encourages the Israeli government to adopt these practices.

Thursday’s violence brings the number of Palestinian deaths this year to 21. Nearly 150 Palestinians were killed last year, making 2022 the deadliest year since 2004, according to the Israeli rights group B’Tselem.
