An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck the Gulf of Aqaba, northeast of Sharm el-Sheikh, in the late hours of yesterday evening, Tuesday, and it is one of 9 earthquakes felt by Egyptians this year.
The earthquake was 111 km north of Sharm el-Sheikh, according to the official statement of the Astronomy Institute.
The earthquake that the Egyptians felt, which was 4.37 degrees on the Richter scale, was not the strongest earthquake that the Egyptians felt during the year 2023, as the strongest earthquake was on February 6 and its epicenter was in Turkey.
