9 Bodies Hanged at JPO Mexico, Allegedly Victims of the Drug Cartel War

MEXICO CITY – The authorities Mexico found 10 bodies of which nine were hanging on pedestrian bridge (JPO) . The sadistic event took place in the state of Zacatecas, where the battle for territory between drug cartel .

Zacatecas state’s public security agency said in a statement that the bodies were found in Ciudad Cuauhtemoc, about 550 kilometers north of Mexico city. The 10th body was found on the sidewalk. All victims are male as quoted from The Washington Post, Friday (11/19/2021).

The Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation Cartels have been battling for control of the state. To note, the region is a major transit point for drugs, particularly the potent synthetic painkiller fentanyl, to be smuggled north to the border. United States of America (AS).

Drug cartels in Mexico sometimes deliberately display such bodies in public to mock rival groups or the government and scare the local population.

According to federal data in the first nine months of this year, Mexico had more than 25,000 homicides, 3.4% less than the same period a year earlier.
