From the eight-year-old drummer to the over 60-year-old guitarist: so many musicians have gathered in one place than ever before in Austria to play a song together. That is the idea behind the “88.6 Rock-Together”. They rehearsed together for an afternoon and finally the performance was recorded. Now the result was presented live on the radio and the video was published.
“This campaign shows once again which great musicians there are in Austria and what an unforgettable moment it comes out of when they come together for something big. For them in particular, these are such challenging times and all the more so we could be a sign for set the cohesion and the common resurgence “, shows initiator Niki Fuchs, Head of Marketing & Digital at Radio 88.6, excited.
For the first time, but not the last
Cohesion was the focus throughout the project. So it was 88.6-Community that decided which song it should be and also brought in numerous location suggestions. In the end, the Pro-Event Team for Vienna offered no less space than the Danube Island for the event, where many international greats have already performed and at the same time the greatest security for the event could be guaranteed.

On site, the musicians supported each other in setting up, jammed together and toasted the unique experience at the end. Not only the participants were overjoyed: inside, but also 88.6– Managing Director Ralph Meier-Tanos: “The musicians could finally live out their passion again and be part of something big. I’m already looking forward to the next ‘Rock-Together’ in 2022.” (as)
