At the same time kicking Valheim out of the top 10.
Hogwarts Legacy sneak-started early last week and measured 489,000 concurrent players on Steam. It spoke for an even more impressive figure when the actual release took place on Friday – and so it was. Yesterday, 879,308 concurrent players were found (via SteamDB).
Thus places itself Hogwarts Legacy currently ranked eighth on the all-time Steam concurrent player list. Remarkable for a single player game. In fact, it only has two solo titles ahead of it: the sixth Elder Ring (953,000) and fifth Cyberpunk 2077 (1 054 000).
Otherwise, the list consists of idle titles tailored for multiplayer: New World, Dota 2, Counter-Strike GO and then the worst (3.2 million concurrent players) PUBG. It remains to be seen Hogwarts may climb further (next weekend?) or if the summit has been reached.
It is clear that Hogwarts Legacy kicks out the Swedish rocket Valheim from top 10. Full list:
