Sukadana, SP – The administrator of the Sultan Muhammad Jamaludin 1 Sukadana Hospital, North Kayong Regency, said that 87 people infected with DHF were being treated at the Sorcerer State Hospital.
For patients who have been declared dead, one person has been confirmed so far.
“During 2023 until today there were 87 patients hospitalized at our hospital,” said Head of Medical and Nursing Services Section of Sultan Muhammad Jamaludin I Kayong Utara Hospital Muhammad Azwar, yesterday.
He said that for the handling of DHF at the SMJ 1 Hospital, his party had made various efforts to cure the disease.
“DHF in the hospital is treated with fluid therapy, administration of febrifuge and pain medication or transfusion if the platelets are very low,” he said.
He appealed to people who experience symptoms of fever to immediately seek treatment at the nearest health care facility.
Head of Sutera Village, Rosmiadi Effendi appealed to the public to be vigilant against DHF by keeping the environment clean.
“Environmental cleanliness, especially gutters, must be cleaned around the house so that mosquitoes don’t build nests,” he said. (ant)
