Significant increase in the number of drink drivers

The number of motorists who get behind the wheel with too much drink while going out at the weekend has increased sharply from 1.4% in 2017 to 2.3% two years later. Although there is no clear explanation for this increase, enforcement on alcohol has declined sharply in recent years.
