85 new cases transmitted locally on the mainland – French.news.cn

BEIJING, Jan.11 (Xinhua) – China’s National Health Commission said Monday it reported 103 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the mainland on Sunday, including 85 locally transmitted cases.

Of the local cases, 82 were reported in Hebei (north), two in Liaoning (northeast) and one in Beijing, the commission said in its daily report.

No new suspected cases or deaths related to COVID-19 have been reported, the commission said, adding that 18 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital on Sunday.

According to the report drawn up at the end of the day on Sunday, a total of 4,430 imported cases had been recorded on the mainland. Of these, 4,132 left the hospital after their recovery, and 298 remain hospitalized. No deaths were reported among the imported cases.

By the same day, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the mainland had reached 87,536. Among them, 673 were still hospitalized, including 20 in critical condition.

A total of 82,229 patients had left hospital after their recovery, and 4,634 had died of the disease on the mainland, the commission said.

As of Sunday, no suspected cases of COVID-19 were reported on the mainland, and 26,652 close contacts remained under medical observation.

On the same day, 76 new asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland, 15 of which were imported. Thirty-one asymptomatic cases were reclassified as confirmed cases.

A total of 506 asymptomatic cases were under medical observation, of which 260 were from outside the mainland.
