Kuwait City പദ്ധതി Statistics show that the plan to reduce the number of foreigners with the aim of repatriating more people is being reflected in the labor market.
During the three months from September to December last year, 83574 foreigners returned from Kuwait. With this, the number of foreigners working in the country has reached 15 lakh. The scheme also aims to provide employment to more natives in the government sector. In three months, 2144 foreigners were sacked from various government agencies.
Foreigners currently make up only 29% of the workforce in the government sector. 65% of it is in the Ministry of Health and Education. Of the 400909 employed in the trade sector, 4248 are natives. There has been a decline of 7385 people in the domestic employment sector in the last three months.
