After an odyssey with his car across the Lower Rhine, an 81-year-old from Duisburg is missing. The man was also out and about in Krefeld and Willich.
The man had wanted to go home within Duisburg, but got lost, as a police spokesman reported on Saturday.

On several phone calls with his wife, he stated that he had driven through Krefeld, Neuss, Willich and Kaarst. He complained of malaise and said that his tank was as good as empty. After that, his cell phone was switched off. It was last located in Mönchengladbach-Wickrath.

His white car has the license plate DU-GK 1989. The police suspect that the man is disoriented and in a helpless position. The population is asked for information on the whereabouts of the 81-year-old or his car.
