With the arrivals of two flights from Beijing, China, on Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning, with 768 thousand and 320 thousand Sinopharm vaccines, respectively, the shipment of 8 million doses was completed in a period of 19 days from the contract signed with the China National Pharmaceutical Group Corp laboratory, which contemplates the delivery of a total of 24 million until September, at a rate of 8 million per month.
In turn, according to the count of the health portfolio, so far in July the country received 15,326,700 vaccines.
In this period, 17 flights landed in the country with 1,744,000 doses of Sputnik V (1,141,000 from component 1 and 603,000 from component 2); 2,082,700 to AstraZeneca and Oxford; 3,500,000 from Moderna; and 8,000,000 from Sinopharm.
The total sum of vaccines arrived is 41,033,430 since the start of the immunization campaign.
Also, on Thursday the inoculation of 50 percent of the total population (50.41%) with at least one dose was exceeded.
Vizzotti assured that “priority one” of the Government is to complete the vaccination schedule and that currently the objectives are aimed at obtaining the second dose of Sputnik V.
In that sense, on this journey, Russian official spokesmen ratified their commitment to supply the vaccine to “all the countries that acquired the immunizer, including Argentina.”
