80 micro-towns in Catalonia will have the opportunity to enjoy live music through the festival ‘ITINERA parlem‘created by the Association of Small Towns of Catalonia together with Marcel Marata, artistic director. The goal is to bring quality music to unknown places. “In many of these towns, a Jazz concert will arrive earlier than an ATM, a supermarket or a Post Office,” says Marata.
“It is one of those days when you are happy with the work you do”, commented the Minister of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Àngels Ponsa. “This festival gives meaning to the cultural event, and I am convinced that it is a project for the future,” continues the counselor. In total there will be 80 concerts that, although they will not cover the 337 micro-towns with less than 500 inhabitants that exist in Catalonia, they will give visibility and bring culture to unknown places.

The concerts will be starred by musicians, especially students from the Joan Chamorro school. But musicians such as Èlia Bastida, Joan Chamorro, JosepTraver, Alba Armengou, Paula Barranco, Jan Domenèch, Richard White, Cleanhead Brothers, Ananda Massa or Oriol Romaní will also perform. Quico Pi de la Serra will give two concerts on June 11 and 12 at the Baronía de Rialb and at Riner.
