Asked about their trust in the Russian president, 80.1% of respondents gave a positive answer
Russian President Vladimir Putin is approved by 80.1% of his compatriots, according to the latest survey by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VCIOM).
“When asked about their trust in Putin, 80.1% of respondents gave a positive answer (down 0.8% over the past week), while the president’s job approval rating fell 0.7% to 76.4%,” noted in the study.
The poll was conducted among 1,600 adult Russians in the period May 8-14.
The activity of the Russian government is approved by 50.2% of respondents (down 3.3%), and the work of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin – by 52.5% of respondents (- 3.5 percent). 62.5% of respondents expressed confidence in Mishustin (-2%).
The attitude towards the leaders of the parliamentary parties was also investigated. The leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov is trusted by 35.9% (+ 1.2%), the leader of “Just Russia for the Truth” Sergey Mironov – by 30.9% (- 1.3%), the leader of the Liberal Democrats Leonid Slutsky – at 19.2% (+ 2.7%), the head of the “New People” party Alexey Nechaev – at 9% (+ 1.1%).
The ruling United Russia party has the most support – 39.3%, which is a decrease of 0.1%.
