The final of the soccer world cup
between Argentina and France
will go down in history
as one of the craziest ever.
For a long time it seemed
that Argentina would win.
The team led 2-0.
The star that made Lionel Messi
one of the goals of punishment.
France had not had
a shot on goal.
Then the French decided
the great star Kylian Mbappé
to change it.
In a minute and a half
he scored two goals.
Suddenly it was 2-2.
Thanks to Mbappé’s goal
there was no extra time for the match.
Then Messi’s time came again.
In the second half of extra time
scored 3–2 against Argentina.
The Argentines in the stands cheered.
The players and the public alike had a tough time
to hold back emotions.
Some started crying.
Now it was clear, right?
But this was no ordinary final.
Only a few minutes left
France received a penalty.
And for the third time
Kylian Mbappé scored.
It was 3-3.
The extension was over.
The match would end on penalties.
Both before and during the final
it had almost everything
of men’s soccer
the biggest stars right now,
Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
The 35-year-old Argentine
Lionel Messi had won more,
but not a toilet.
The Mbappé twelve years younger

Then he scored in the final
when France beat Croatia.
