8 out of 10 Volkswagens sold in 2030 will be electric cars

The Volkswagen Group has announced that it plans to achieve very high sales of electric cars in the European market as early as 2030. Volkswagen believes that 8 out of 10 group cars sold in Europe will be electric cars.

Volkswagen is currently struggling with serious software problems in the electric car segment, but this will be corrected with the next generation ID series. As far as can be understood, existing Volkswagen electric cars could remain as such with several existing and known software problems.

Market analysts believe that Volkswagen has the potential to overtake the current market leader Tesla in car deliveries already in the first half of next year. This would be a huge victory for Volkswagen and a kind of compensation for the green minds for the so-called Dieselgate. In the USA and China, Volkswagen maintains its previously expressed forecast that electric cars will account for approximately 50% of the cars sold in these regions in 2030.
