A sore throat can also feel dry and itchy and cause redness at the back of the mouth. If you have a sore throat, you may also experience bad breath, a mild cough, and swollen neck glands.

If this doesn’t help, use paracetamol or ibuprofen, use lozenges containing local anesthetics, antiseptics, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, use anesthetic sprays (although there is little evidence that they help).
