An 8-month-old baby was found buried near a shrimp pond Pandandaran, West Java. The child was allegedly killed by his parents.
Reported detikjabarOn Monday (9/1/2023), Pangandaran Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Chief Luhut Sitorus said that the infanticide in Ciliang was suspected to have been committed by the victim’s father 3 days ago.
“The child’s body was buried on the edge of the shrimp pond belonging to the residents. The residents found him around 3pm WIB in the afternoon,” Luhut said detikjabarMonday (9/1/2023).
The child’s grave was found 15 cm deep. There was a bad smell from the baby’s corpse.
This case was revealed when the baby’s mother, Siti Latifah, brought in a hand which was used for carrying the baby. “However, when residents asked why the child was found, Siti replied that her child was abused by his biological father,” Luhut said.
The child’s mother said the victim was tortured 3 days ago by her husband until she died. Then the two buried the child beside the residents’ ponds.
