Women take to the streets of the main Latin American cities

The biggest marches in America for the International Day of Working Women are planned in the big cities. In the Mexican capital, a rally will be held starting at noon at the Monument to the Revolution, and at three in the afternoon the march to the Zócalo, the central square, will begin.

In Colombia, demonstrations have been called in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, among other cities. In the capital, a rally has been called at the Planetarium at nine in the morning. The march will begin at three in the afternoon from the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and will reach the Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation.

In Brazil, the main concentrations will take place in Brasilia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In the capital it is convened at four in the afternoon at the Ibero-American Cultural Axis (formerly Funarte), and it will travel to the Buriti Palace. In São Paulo, at five in the afternoon, on Avenida Paulista; and in Rio, at four in the afternoon, in Candelária.

In the southern cone, in Argentina, the march will begin at four in the afternoon, at the intersection between Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo, and will reach the National Congress. And in Santiago de Chile the first call will be at three in the afternoon, in front of the Centro Arte Alameda. Three hours later, at six o’clock, the march will take place from Plaza Italia, also called Plaza Dignidad, to the Los Héroes metro station.
