This incident was an attempted murder of Imran Khan, according to the Imran Khan camp. Imran Khan is a former cricketer who was ousted from the post of Prime Minister of Pakistan in April. He is from the Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI).

1. Location
The shooting against Imran Khan took place in the city of Wazirabad, about 170 km to 200 km east of the country’s capital, Islamabad. The attack took place on Thursday (3/11) local time.
2. Activities
According to the BBC, the shooting took place as Imran Khan led a general march demanding early elections. The plan is for their convoy to go to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan
Khan and his supporters were in a container pulled by a truck. Khan has led the second protest march of the year – for the past seven days, to demand expedited elections.
The government has repeatedly stated that it will hold elections next year, as planned.
