Axolotl, amur snake, agate snail – maybe you don’t know them? And that was just the letter A! Here you will find some of the strangest pets in Lower Franconia that this editorial team was able to track down on the occasion of April 11th. In the US, this day is considered Pet Day – at least animal rights activist Colleen Paige is said to have started the day there to celebrate the joy that pets bring. But also to draw attention to the many pets waiting for a new home in animal shelters.
