The quake’s epicenter was about 106 km southeast of Perville
A magnitude 8.2 earthquake was recorded off the coast of the Alaska Peninsula, the US Geophysical Institute (USGS) said.
According to the institute, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 46.7 km.
The US Tsunami Warning Center, which said the quake had a magnitude of 8.1, warned of a possible tsunami in the US Pacific Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, according to Reuters.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 8 and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
The quake’s epicenter was about 106 km southeast of the city of Perryville, AFP reported, also citing the American Geophysical Institute.
There is currently no information on destruction and casualties.
