Morelia, Michoacán, November 7, 2023.- The Ministry of Culture of Michoacán (Secum) invites you to the 7th Festival Arte para Todxs/Feminist and Resilient Cities, which will offer 41 free and multidisciplinary activities from November 9 to 19, in the Michoacán capital.
The director of Cultural Promotion and Development of the state agency, Janitzio Rangel Guerra, reiterated the institution’s support for independent initiatives such as this festival, which will be provided with the Casa Taller Alfredo Zalce space for its realization.
The president of Container de Arte AC, and member of Arte para Todxs, and the RedCoFem (Feminist Movement Michoacán AC), Verónica Loaiza Servín, shared that this feminist festival with a gender perspective aims to reappropriate and revitalize public space through through art.
He added that the activities include a traveling route, conferences, exhibitions, presentations, workshops, master classes and dialogue tables, such as plastic and urban art for childhood, which will begin this Thursday, November 9.
He highlighted that several activities are recreational, educational and occupational in nature, which are also aimed at various sectors of the population such as women victims of violence, and other social groups such as students and the LGBTQI+ population.
